Start at Guest Services
Funtown Splashtown USA's first and most important accessibility rule: check in at Guest Services before purchasing your bracelets. This applies to any guest with a disability, mobility limitation, sensory consideration, or accommodation need. Guest Services is located at the main entrance gate, and the staff there can walk you through all available programs and provide a printed Accessibility and Safety Quick Guide.
This is not a formality — it is genuinely the most efficient path to a good day, because the park's accommodations are not all posted on signage. Getting oriented at Guest Services before you head into the park takes 10–15 minutes and prevents confusion at individual rides.

Accessibility and Safety Guide
Funtown Splashtown USA publishes a full Accessibility and Safety Guide that covers every ride, water slide, and pool with ride-specific accessibility information. It is available as a PDF download from funtownsplashtownusa.com/park-safety-requirements/ and as a printed Quick Guide at Guest Services.
For guests with specific physical conditions or disabilities, reading the full guide before your visit is strongly recommended. It details restraint types, transfer requirements, companion rider rules, and ride-specific restrictions that cannot be easily summarized in a checklist.
---
Disability Access at Rides
Funtown Splashtown USA does not operate a Disney-style Disability Access Service (DAS) program with a centralized digital queue system. However, many rides and attractions are ADA accessible, and the park accommodates guests with disabilities on a ride-by-ride basis.
For guests who cannot stand in a standard queue due to a disability, discuss your situation with Guest Services at arrival. Accommodation options are determined based on individual need and ride capability — this is handled person-to-person rather than through a pre-registered digital system.
Companion rider allowances apply on many attractions, meaning guests who require a ride companion for safety or accessibility reasons can bring one aboard. Check the Accessibility Guide for which rides permit and require companions.

Wheelchair Rentals and Access
Wheelchair rentals are available at the main entrance gate for $17.00. You must leave a valid ID as a deposit, which is returned when you bring the wheelchair back.
Personal wheelchairs and mobility scooters are permitted throughout the park. You do not need to rent from the park if you have your own equipment.
Accessible restrooms are available throughout the park. Accessible parking is available in the main lot — standard ADA placard/plate applies.
The park's pathways accommodate wheelchair movement between attractions. However, some areas — particularly in Splashtown near pools and at the base of water slides — involve wet surfaces and elevated platforms that may require assistance or may not be wheelchair-accessible to the immediate loading area. Ask at Guest Services for the most current pathway information for specific attractions.
---
Stroller Rentals
Strollers are available for rent at the main entrance gate alongside wheelchairs. Leave an ID as a deposit. If you prefer, you may bring your own stroller. Strollers are permitted in the park but may not be permitted inside certain ride loading areas — park attendants will direct you to nearby stroller parking spots.

Water Park Accessibility (Splashtown)
Splashtown USA involves pools, wet surfaces, slide platforms, and a beach-style entrance into the wave pool area. For guests with mobility limitations, the water park environment requires additional planning:
- Pirate's Paradise (the large kids splash structure) has wet flooring and elevated platforms that may be challenging for some guests. Water shoes with grip are strongly recommended for everyone.
- Pool lifts — confirm availability with Guest Services, as lift availability at specific pools can change seasonally.
- Water wheelchairs may be available on request — ask Guest Services at arrival.
- Lifeguards are positioned at all water attractions and are trained to assist guests with disabilities entering and exiting water features.

Sensory Considerations
Funtown Splashtown USA does not currently advertise a formal sensory-friendly event or designated sensory quiet area. However, first-timers with sensory sensitivities should know:
- The Astrosphere uses loud music (ELO's "Fire On High" at significant volume) and strobe-adjacent laser lighting inside an enclosed dome. Guests sensitive to audio or light stimulation should review this before riding or skip it.
- Whispering Pines Haunted Hotel is dark, features jump-scare-style animatronics and sudden sounds, and may be inappropriate for guests with anxiety around frightening imagery. The theming is theatrical rather than gore-focused, but it is intentionally startling.
- Dragon's Descent produces a loud pneumatic release sound at the top of the tower. The drop itself is sudden and extreme.
- Peak-day crowd density in Splashtown is high — mid-July weekends in the early afternoon are the most intense.
For guests who benefit from lower-crowd visits, early season dates (late May through mid-June) and weekdays offer significantly quieter conditions.
