Cedar Point calls itself the roller coaster capital of the world, and the peninsula backs it up: a world top three hybrid, a giga, a 420 foot launcher, and a dozen more coasters spread along Lake Erie. Here is every major coaster at Cedar Point ranked, with the seat and timing call for each.
1. Steel Vengeance
The best coaster in the park and, for many riders, the best on the planet. This 205 foot hybrid rebuild of Mean Streak delivers over 27 seconds of airtime, four inversions, and a relentless second half. Surprise from our wait data: strong operations keep its average near 28 minutes, half of Top Thrill 2's.
- Height requirement: 52 inches
- Best seat: back row, the drop yanks you out of your seat
- Best time to ride: early entry hour if you have it, otherwise the final hour
2. Millennium Force
The 310 foot giga that defined a generation. An 80 degree, 300 foot drop, 93 mph, and huge sweeping turns over the lagoon. Speed as scenery, and the best night ride in America.
- Height requirement: 48 inches
- Best seat: front row for the wind and the water
- Best time to ride: after dark, non negotiable
3. Maverick
The most underrated headliner anywhere. A 95 degree first drop, a 70 mph launch through a pitch black tunnel, and a twisted terrain layout that never rises above the trees. Our data shows the park's second longest average wait, 50 minutes, so plan it deliberately.
- Height requirement: 52 inches
- Best seat: front row for the drop and the tunnel launch
- Best time to ride: rope drop, before the queue sets like concrete
4. Top Thrill 2
The 420 foot spike, reborn with a triple launch: forward, backward up a vertical spike, then forward again over the top hat at 120 mph. It is a stunt, but the industry's best one, and it holds the park's longest average wait, about 55 minutes.
- Height requirement: 52 inches
- Best seat: front row, nothing but sky
- Best time to ride: first 90 minutes, weather shuts it down without warning
5. Siren's Curse
The 2025 tilt coaster. The train rolls onto a track section that tilts you face down toward a vertical drop, holds, then releases. A psychological weapon more than a forces machine, with the park's third longest average wait at 49 minutes.
- Height requirement: 48 inches
- Best seat: front row for the full stare down the drop
- Best time to ride: morning, right after Maverick
6. Magnum XL-200
The first coaster to break 200 feet and still one of the best airtime rides anywhere. The return run of triangle hills over the beach is violent joy. Ten minute average wait in our data.
- Height requirement: 48 inches
- Best seat: 1-3, the famous third seat of the front car
- Best time to ride: sunset, over a glowing beach
7. Valravn
A 223 foot dive coaster with a held drop, three inversions, and ten across floorless rows.
- Height requirement: 52 inches
- Best seat: front row, outside edge
- Best time to ride: midday, three trains keep it moving
8. Raptor
The 1994 B&M invert at the front of the park still snaps through its cobra roll like new.
- Height requirement: 54 inches
- Best seat: front row
- Best time to ride: late evening
9. GateKeeper
The wing coaster over the main entrance, all grace, with keyhole towers that never miss.
- Height requirement: 52 inches
- Best seat: left wing, outside
- Best time to ride: early evening
10. Rougarou
The floorless conversion of the old Mantis stand up. Loops, dives, and single digit waits most days.
- Height requirement: 54 inches
- Best seat: front
- Best time to ride: whenever you walk past
Quick hits
- Gemini, 48 inches: racing hybrid, race it at dusk
- Blue Streak, 46 inches: 1964 woodie, back row airtime
- Wild Mouse, 48 inches: spinning mouse with deceptively long lines, early or never
- Iron Dragon, 46 inches: gentle suspended swinger over the lagoon
- Corkscrew and Cedar Creek Mine Ride: classics, short waits, one lap each
